Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit for 2022+ Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ

Jackson Racing Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit

Jackson Racing releases their new Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit for 2022+ Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ

To Order: 2022+ GR86/BRZ Track Oil Cooler Kit

Chino, California (July 12, 2022) – The championship-winning performance experts at Jackson Racing are proud to announce their new Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit for the 2022+ Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ is now available starting at $799USD.

Key Points:

  • Keep oil temperatures below 250ºF in the most extreme conditions
  • Thermostatic Oil Adapter + OEM Heat Exchanger for proper engine oil warm up when cold
  • Helps maintain engine performance
  • Heavily street and track tested to ensure reliability

An engine oil cooler is a must-have for any track or hot climate vehicle. The GR86/BRZ includes a factory heat exchanger, but it is not enough to keep up on-track with the finely tuned high compression FA24 engine. This can lead engine oil temperatures spiking to dangerous levels, which can accelerate oil breakdown and lower vehicle performance.

Building off the success of the 1st Gen FR-S/86/BRZ kit of the past decade, the GR86/BRZ Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit is a fresh update to Jackson Racing’s popular oil cooling solution. As with all JR products, this kit was developed in-house and designed to bring optimal oil cooling to the FA24 engine.

The included Setrab 9-Series oil cooler core was carefully chosen and tested to match the demands of the dedicated track/race enthusiast, and has been enjoyed by thousands of 1st Gen owners with JR kits over the past decade. It has been put to the test by our own championship-winning racing drivers on the street and track, in the worst on-track conditions; from the extreme heat of the American southwest to the high banks of Daytona. The Track Engine Oil Cooler kit works flawlessly, keeping oil temperatures in the 240ºF range with pro drivers on track, thus maintaining engine performance throughout on-track sessions.

The Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit not only performs on track, but holds up in day to day driving as well. To aid with oil warm up for daily and cooler climate usage, the OEM heat exchanger has been retained.

The Jackson Racing Oil Cooler Adapter included is a proprietary JR design giving customers more adjustability. The JR adapter features improved socket relief for filter screw installation and a proper O-ring design to improve surface seal. With four M22 oil ports, customers looking to have an additional sensor port for datalogging can option in 1/8” NPT M22 sensor port plugs. The JR Oil Cooler Adapter for the Track Kits also features a built-in thermostat to help with oil warm up. All adapters come in a titanium grey anodized finish.

The Jackson Racing Track Engine Oil Cooler Kit retains the JR signature solid chassis mounting bracket for extra safety, which uses solid factory-mounting locations with no drilling/cutting needed. The 2nd Gen mounting bracket has received a 35% weight reduction over the previous models.

Another benefit of the front mounted oil cooler system is the engine oil cooler being located front and center in the bumper area, drawing outside air directly over the core. All-new for 2022, there is now a Shroud option for the Setrab core utilized in the kit. This oil cooler shroud helps direct air over the Setrab core, increasing the efficiency of the oil cooler.

Midlothian, TX (June 3rd, 2019) – World leading forced induction experts Jackson Racing are proud to announce their entry into the side-by-side (SXS) vehicle market with a new turbocharger system for the Honda Talon® SXS shipping Fall 2019.

The Honda Talon® SXS has changed the game in the SXS world, offering premium performance not previously available in the sport SXS market. From the chassis design to Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), this vehicle is designed for fun, performance and dependability. The naturally aspirated 999cc Unicam® parallel-twin engine matches well with the DCT, with a rev happy feel making the Talon an exciting drive.

Even with the Talon being so capable, a boost in horsepower was desired. Enter Jackson Racing, with over 40 years of forced induction experience and the right knowledge base to bring the Talon to the next level. Jackson Racing took advantage of the Honda Talon’s capabilities and designed a turbocharger system from the ground up for both peak performance and long-term dependability.

The Jackson Racing Talon SXS Turbocharger system delivers an impressive 60+% increase in HP over stock, all through a completely stock Honda drivetrain. At the heart of the Jackson Racing system is a Garrett® turbocharger. Jackson Racing approached Garrett Motion® to build a turbocharger to the specifications required in the performance SXS market and they delivered. The turbocharger unit is designed with robust OEM technologies and has been engineered for the abuse of a performance SXS.

A key feature to the Jackson Racing turbocharger system is the seamless performance. The turbo power doesn’t overpower the chassis, it works with the vehicle effortlessly. “We didn’t want to take away the great riding experience already built into the Talon, we wanted to enhance it,” says Oscar Jackson Sr., President and Chief Engineer. “The Jackson Racing turbocharger system delivers a factory feel that fits the Talon perfectly.” To do this, Jackson Racing worked tirelessly to develop the factory ECU and DCT to support the turbo system. The result is an ECU reflash that takes care of all tuning parameters via an included Jackson Racing ECU tuning tool. For the engine, precise tuning is done for proper boosted performance and reliability using minimum 91 octane fuel. With the DCT, shift schedules have been optimized to match turbo feel and performance, giving the Jackson Racing turbocharged Talon a real advantage on trails and the race course. This DCT drivability is unmatched, with no hiccups or hesitations, allowing the turbo and DCT to work in unison together.

The entire system is designed to work in harmony. Installation, maintenance, and durability are all elements built directly into each system. Installation is painless, with no fabrication, no welding, no engine internals required. This is a true bolt-on solution with an easy installation. Thousands of miles of durability testing have been clocked in extreme conditions to ensure longevity and performance. “Drivability and durability are both critically important, and we got it right here,” says Oscar Jackson Jr., COO and multi-time national road racing champion. “This is the turbo Talon you dreamed about.”

2nd Round of the 2019 NASA Western Endurance Racing Championship

For the second three-hour of the NASA Western Endurance Racing Championship (WERC) season, team Jackson Racing and HG Trackside headed to Buttonwillow Raceway on Saturday April 6th to race Vincent “Hollywood” Piemonte’s E1 Class Ford Mustang GT again.

Piloting the GT would be Oscar Jackson Jr. of Jackson Racing and team HG Trackside driving instructor, Dieter-Heinz Kijora, team HG Trackside Team Principal, and Vincent Piemonte, a Hollywood stunt performer that has been working with Oscar Jackson for a few years now. Going into the second endurance weekend with the Mustang, the team knew what they needed to work on and proceeded to prepare for the night race.

With Crew Chief Oscar Jackson Sr. in attendance, the team went to work on preparing the vehicle and themselves for the race ahead. Oscar Jr. went out for the teams qualifying session, qualifying on pole in E1 for the race. With the race starting at 6:15pm, Oscar Jr. would take the first hour stint in the Mustang. The team had planned on two scheduled pit stops, all of which coincided with driver changes. Oscar Jr. gained a significant gap to the second-place car until a full course caution and safety car brought everyone back to the same pace. With that gap now gone, Oscar Jr. worked to get some time between him and the second-place car before heading in to switch to the next driver. As the sun started to set, Dieter-Heinz took the second stint with fueling and no tire changes in that stop. The last stint was driven by Vincent with that stop including fuel where he also encountered a safety car session. This was Vincent’s first trip into night racing and was picking up the pace as his stint carried on. Consistency over the 3 hours is critical and great pace was found in the BFGoodrich R1 tires utilized by the team, while also never having to change a tire during the 3 hour race!

With all this, team Jackson Racing and HG Trackside placed fourth. While it wasn’t the position desired, the team now has an even better idea on what needs to be improved both in the car and in strategy for the next race.

Team Jackson Racing and HG Trackside will be attending the next three-hour endurance race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA.
