Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler for 2022+ GR86/BRZ

Jackson Racing Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler

Jackson Racing releases their updated Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler for 2022+ Toyota GR86 & Subaru BRZ

To Order: 2022+ GR86/BRZ Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler

Chino, California (October 17, 2022) – The championship-winning performance experts at Jackson Racing are proud to announce updates to their popular line of cooling products, with the release of the Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler for the 2022+ GR86/BRZ platform. With added features, this kit is available for $999.00USD.

Key Points:

  • Increased Cooling Capacity
  • Integrated Liquid-to-Oil Cooler + OEM Heat Exchanger increased oil cooling capacity
  • Consistent oil temperatures in all conditions
  • Race-tested and Championship-proven design on FA engines

An engine oil cooler is a must-have for any high-performance vehicle. The GR86/BRZ includes a factory heat exchanger, but it is not enough to keep up in spirited or on-track driving with the finely tuned high-compression FA24 engine. This can lead to engine oil temperatures spiking to dangerous levels, which can accelerate oil breakdown and lower vehicle performance.

The Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler was developed in-house in conjunction with manufacturing partner CSF Radiators to be the ultimate solution for GR86/BRZ Street and Track enthusiasts. With well over a year of development and now multiple national championships on FA engines, Jackson Racing is excited to add the 2022+ GR86/BRZ compatibility.

Included with the JR Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler Kit is the billet Jackson Racing Oil Cooler Adapter, a proprietary JR design made in the USA, giving customers more adjustability. The JR Oil Cooler Adapter features improved socket relief for filter screw installation and a refined O-ring design to improve surface seal. The Jackson Racing Oil Cooler Adapter is completed in a titanium grey anodized finish.

The Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler is a true “drop-in” all-aluminum radiator with a built-in oil cooler for the GR86/BRZ platform. No cutting is needed and installs with all OEM components. The Jackson Racing Dual Radiator/Oil Cooler includes all necessary components for engine oil connections for a true plug-and-play solution.

The radiator features a 31mm CSF B-Tube core, with over a 100% increase in cooling surface area. The CSF B-Tube technology boosts surface area vs standard oval tube cores by 15%. The integrated liquid-to-oil cooler features -10AN fittings in and out for proper flow to and from the engine.

The entire system has been put to the test on the street and track, including back-to-back SCCA National Championships with our Jackson Racing Touring 4 FR-S. We are proud to say this system works flawlessly, keeping oil temperatures within a 30ºF temperature delta, thus maintaining consistent engine performance. Thanks to the large liquid to the oil cooler, engine oil is kept at the proper operating temperatures in all environments, whether it is cold startup or a hot day at the track.

2018 SCCA Runoffs: Champions again!

In the world of US amateur auto racing, the SCCA Runoffs is the most highly anticipated event of the year, where racers from all over the country travel to compete for the title of SCCA National Champion. With transportation support from HG Trackside, Jackson Racing traveled to Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA to qualify and race in B-Spec and Touring 3 (T3) classes.

The driver of the Jackson Racing/BFGoodrich B-Spec Ford Fiesta is Oscar Jackson Jr., from Chino, CA, who has been racing in the SCCA for 12 years. Oscar has already taken home the SCCA National Championship in the Touring 4 category, driving a Jackson Racing/BFGoodrich Scion FR-S to the top step at the 2016 Runoffs. Piloting the Jackson Racing T3 Ford Mustang Shelby GT is Vincent “Hollywood” Piemonte from Burbank, CA, a professional stunt performer and is attending his second Runoffs.

Testing began on October 13 where Jackson Racing worked on setup and preparation for qualifying the next week. Qualifying spans over three days for the Runoffs with the first day of racing on Friday October 19. Jackson qualified on pole each qualifying day and set a new qualifying lap record of 1:59.3. Piemonte qualified seventh in T3, improving throughout the week to a fast lap time of 1:50.2, only tenths separating 4th-12th.

Saturday October 20, T4 and B-Spec went out for the last race of the day where Jackson chose an outside starting position, which helped him maintain his pole position going into turn two. Jackson led the entire B-spec field in the Ford Fiesta from start to checkered maintaining a four and a half second gap over second place for most of the race until the last lap where the second-place driver Pipal closed the gap to about half a second due to T4 traffic.

Sunday October 21, the T3 race began with Piemonte in seventh place and there was no shortage of action. At one-point Piemonte dropped down to ninth and the two cars in front started to battle for position and came into contact with each other, which gave Piemonte the advantage. The sixth-place Ford Mustang of Scotty B. White became Piemonte’s next target, which Piemonte closed the gap quickly. A great Mustang battle commenced, with traffic on the last lap causing problems. In only his second Runoffs, Piemonte finished in the top ten in seventh place, a two-position improvement over his 2017 race.

The SCCA Runoffs 2019 will take place at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), October 8-13.
